I wanted to take a few moments to express my appreciation for the hard work Ms. Yungk, Ms. Wambach, and Mr. Cummings put forth in supporting the 8th grade students to present their new learning about World War II.
The students were able to express their knowledge of the different aspects of the war including the civilians lifestyles, soldiers, artillery, holocaust, and battles. I asked several of them to express how the material they learned has changed their life and was very impressed with their responses or how differently they said they would behave as a result of their learning.
I was thrilled to see the enthusiastic use of technology to bring their presentations to life. Each of these students deserves recognition for this fine accomplishment.
Due to time constraints I was not able to visit all the student presentations, but look forward to future student programs.
I am sorry I was not able to attend the 7th Grade World Cultural Fair, because it was rescheduled due to school being closed when the pipes froze.
