Law Conference - What 's Right about Public Education..And How to Make It Better

Don Budinger from the Rodel Charitable Foundation of AZ gave an inspiring presentation.

He began with the recommendation of getting learning started early and give them the expectations.  Brief recommendations were made to Science Foundation AZ to connect STEM activities statewide and the AZ Ready program

The most important message I heard was the need to shift conversations from inputs to outputs. 
Class size, vouchers and funding are the input and they all have controversial advocacies.


We the people who are to decide what we commit to...
What will it take?
Different thinking, sacrifice, effort, change in the conversation about..
It isn't just about money, but rather investing wisely.

No other state has chosen to declare to be number 1.

70% of the households in AZ do not have children in school.  Previous generations have responded to the call to leave the country better off than you found it, but we have lost that.

Teddy Roosevelt once said,  “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena…”

Don’s message was all about getting past the problems and barriers we all say are the reason we aren’t successful, but rather focus on the outcome we want and keep working to make it successful.
