High School Football September 16, 2011

Duties of a Board Member are to advocate for the districts, administrators, teachers, staff, and students.  No one can ever say I wouldn’t do what is needed to benefits one’s learning.  However, I must admit, I never thought watching football would be something I would do to benefits one’s learning, but I must admit it was inspiring to see the students play as a team.  21st Century Skills I promote as part of my day job are the same: communication, active listening, active participation, problem-solving, respect of others and creativity.  Although my biggest thrill was seeing the JROTC present colors before the game. No offense to the football players, but I am so proud that many of our students have found fulfillment in our JROTC Program.

The Cheerleaders and the band entertained, motivated, and united the spectators.
