The desert was cold one of the most special night of a Senior’s year, but it didn’t matter for the Seniors graduating from Tombstone HS. Over a thousand family members and friends braved the cold temperatures to honor their graduate.
Pomp and Circumstance was the song of choice as the eighty-six graduates marched through the center aisle of the crowd. The smiles were visible from ear-to-ear as the viewers shouted out accolades of congratulations.
Thomas Smith, Senior Class President, talked about four years of good times, great memories and longtime friends. Salutatorian, Sara Bowler, advised classmates to make the most of their lives. Valedictorian, Alyssa Evans, reminded the audience that this is the first graduating class to attend the new Tombstone High School all four years.
Principal Robert Devere challenged the graduates to use the skills and work ethic they developed in high school to continue to grow. Joe Perotti, Vice President of the School Board closed the ceremony with, “Once a Yellow Jacket, always a Yellow Jacket.”
My heartfelt congratulations goes out to all the graduates with hope that each will find success and fulfillment in the future.
